SSpS IN DIVINE PROVIDENCE:
Indore, Madhya Pradesh has been cradle of the SSpS in India with the arrival of pioneering sisters in 1933.
July 4, 1992 the new Regional Team was installed and Sr. Gonzala George was elected as the Regional Superior and Srs. Mary Leonie and Elsy Lonappan as Councilors.
On March 19, 1995 it was raised to the status of a Province; Sr. Gonzala and team was elected as the Provincial leadership team of the Central Indian Province. Since then Province of Divine Providence has grown under the leadership of Sr. Gonzala, Sr. Preethi Thomas, Sr. Elsie K. Varghese, Sr. Geeta Joseph and presently Sr. Manjula as the Provincial leaders. Today we are spread across Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, Rajasthan, Delhi and Punjab rendering our services in the Diocese of Indore, Khandwa, Bhopal, Jhabua, Delhi, Udaipur, Baroda, Rajkot and Jalandhar.
